Things and stuff and things.
I might never leave my home again.

The Orb X is a multi-purpose computing pod that will let you shut out pesky distractions to focus more deeply on gaming or work. It looks like something out of a futuristic Jetsons-era catalogue, but it's a lot more real than you'd think: Cooler Master is already taking pre-orders for their creation.

Climbing inside the Orb X will wrap you in speakers, screens, and overall comfort as you immerse yourself completely in the experience. Although the device isn't completely enclosed, a dome will lower above your head to help minimize distractions while also positioning a screen right in front of your eyes. The fully adjustable headrest, lumbar support, and leg rests ensure your comfort as you slip away into your gaming paradise.

There are two display options for the Orb X: a single 34-inch monitor or a trio of 27-inch screens that have an inward angle to fill your peripheral vision. This pod has everything someone would need for extended work or gaming sessions, with a built-in surround sound system, an integrated desk, an assortment of USB-A and USB-C ports, and LED accent lighting. You'll still have to get up for food, though!

Cooler Master has not yet specified when the Orb X will go into production, nor how much it will cost - but that certainly hasn't stopped them from taking waitlist registrations.

As comfortable as this is, it's certainly more than I'll ever need. What about you? Would you want this kind of full immersion for your work or gaming endeavors? Share with me!

Or any day, for me.

Y'all are wild if you think for a second I'd prioritize anyone for this over myself if I had the funds.

OK I'm going to go and say that I don't think it will go this way at all.

Instead, I think we'll see some sort of Visor device come out that uses augmented reality to put lots of virtual screens in your line of sight.
