Today, in cool things I found out about but definitely can't justify the cost of: Disney's Star Wars experience will offer lightsaber training. When Disney first announced their fully immersive Star Wars experience, I expected it would be expensive...but the cost was revealed to be around $6,000 for a family of four for just two nights, so it exceeded my expectations but quite a bit there. Still, it's fun to dream about, because as more details emerge it just keeps sounding cooler and cooler.
Because, seriously - watch this video. The sets look so perfect.
Live out your Jedi training in real time just like Luke did in A New Hope. If you'd rather get more of the Rebel or Resistance pilot experience, there's a plan for that too! The bridge of the Starcruiser will fulfill those wishes by letting you take the ship to hyperspace - which will probably look really cool in person! There's also a station where you can defend the ship like you're in a real space battle, with TIE fighters screaming around you while you try to blast them to smithereens.
Unless you've already miraculously booked tickets, though, don't expect to be giving this expensive attraction a try anytime soon - it's sold out until at least July.
Anyone thinking of splurging on themselves and checking it out? Let me know in the comments!
