Things and stuff and things.
The actor has contributed to the franchise under a pseudonym for years

I've been on a movie/TV binge lately (at this rate, who isn't anymore?), and a bunch of news regarding my beloved Star Wars franchise came to my attention this morning, so that's what I'm going to talk about - because I can.

I partake in a lot of animated shows, so I am no stranger to Mark Hamill's work outside of Star Wars. He is, truly, "the" Joker as far as I'm concerned, and of course has lent his talents to countless other animated characters, including Fire Lord Ozai from Avatar: The Last Airbender. Over the years, Hamill has voiced many distinct and different characters, lending a unique (and sometimes totally unrecognizable as his own) voice to each of them.

I suppose it shouldn't shock me, then, that he has lent his voice to the Star Wars franchise in capacities beyond being Luke Skywalker. The reason any of this information is relevant, by the way, is because John Favreau revealed in the final episode of Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian, that Hamill voiced the droid EV-9D9.

Does that name sound familiar? You might recognize it from Return of the Jedi - he's the droid who processes (and tortures) droids for Jabba the Hut, and gives R2-D2 and C-3PO their jobs at the beginning of the movie. The character makes a re-appearance in the 5th episode of The Mandalorian as a bar tender in the Mos Eisley Cantina. Clearly, their policy on not serving any droids has changed in the years since the first movie took place!

Over the weekend, Hamill took to Twitter and revealed more about his involvement in the other Star Wars films.

"I am vocally represented in ALL SW films except the Prequels," he said in a tweet.  He noted that he goes by the name "Patrick Williams," a pseudonym that he's said in a past interview is based on his brothers' names.

Apparently, if you look for the name Patrick Williams, you'll find that he's credited with the voice of Boolio from The Rise of Skywalker. Boolio was the informant who gave the Resistance the intel that Palpatine is still alive (and is later decapitated for his treason, which is no way to get ahead in life).

Do you have any favorite voice roles of Mark Hamill's? Let us know in the comments!
